Getting tubes means....

....getting more sleep! Colin got tubes on Tuesday, January 4. After his third ear infection in 3 months, the pediatrician referred him to the ENT doctor. I was nervous at first about tubes so early, but after talking with Dr. Workman, we felt this was definitely the way to go. There was no greater risk of doing it now than waiting until later. Colin had fluid behind both ears and we knew he was in pain, so we went for it. And it was a great decision! He has been a much happier baby, has been cooing and talking more (I guess since he can hear himself now), and has been sleeping more. He slept through the night for the first time Tuesday night. I put him down at 9:30 and he slept until 6:30 Wednesday morning. I felt like a new woman! Here's a few pictures of Colin enjoying some good sleep now that his ears aren't hurting him!
